I made this for Mother's day and it was so delicious. I saw a recipe for Chicken Carbonara Pasta on Food Network and changed the recipe to alkaline, eliminated the chicken and added in some mushrooms for taste. I added in some fresh parsley as I did not have basil, but fresh basil would be wonderful. You be the judge on if this pasta would please your family.
You can use any kind of pasta you need. I had some homemade pasta that I used. You can buy pasta at Amazon.com from a variety of vendors who sell spelt and kamut pastas. Here is a link to a page selling kamut linguine and assorted types. INGREDIENTS:

Here is a very good recipe for Brazil Nut Cheese. Change the lemon juice for lime though.
The best pasta is always in a pasta maker. I love my squash pasta. You can read here on how to make pasta at home.
- In a large skilled add in the oil and heat. When hot add in the thinly sliced green onion. I love the tomatoes knives to do this with.
- Sautee the onions slightly and then add in the flour and quickly mix to avoid all lumps. Now add in the seed milk. Again stirring quickly to avoid lumps.
- Add in some seasoning, such as sea salt and other choices. I used luffah seasoning as it prevents cancer.
- When the gravy is starting to thicken, check to see the texture. If too thick add in a bit of water. Now add in some sliced mushrooms (optional) Cook them slightly and then add in a large handful of parsley or basil. Cook just one minute more.
- Now add the drained pasta and mix well .
- Serve on a big platter and enjoy.
- If you want to add in cheese, you can use some Brazil nut cheese, but for me I did without.
